And they were filled with the Holy Spirit...

"...and began to speak in tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim" (Acts 2, 4).

One of the questions from the study guide that really stuck with me last Wednesday is "What does it mean to be 'filled with the Holy Spirit?'". As simple as it sounds, it took me a while to really come up with an answer as I try to look in my personal life and figure out what this means to me. Am I filled with the Holy Spirit? Do other people see that in me? Do I speak and act boldly like the Apostles did once they were filled with the Spirit?
The Apostles entirely surrendered to the will of God and allowed Him to act through them.
We have all received the Holy Spirit through our baptism. If only we could let it run our lives...

New Year, New Study, New Blog!

Welcome to the OLL Young Adults Bible Study Group Blog!

We have had so many exciting discussions around the different books we've studied in the past. Great insight into the Scriptures, real life testimonies of God's word at work in our daily lives and great fellowship. So many times we wanted to take our discussions beyond the confinements of our meeting space. Even more we would have liked on many occasions to get share with more members of our group, if not the whole church.

Thanks to the wide availability of the internet and ease of use of blogs,we now have a way to achieve this goal!

Please, join us and share your thoughts with us as we progress through our new and upcoming studies. We are excited about this new opportunity and thank God for the gift of technology to enable us to build up our knowledge and understanding of His word to us.
